| Chancel Choir |
Schreiber Memorial’s Chancel Choir provides the primary weekly choral support for the 11:15 a.m. worship service. A wide variety of musical abilities are welcome in the Chancel Choir, that is open to persons who enjoy singing and creating music with others to share the glory of God.
Under the direction of Choirmaster, Ricki Goude, the Chancel Choir has performed major works with invited guest musicians who are members of The New World Symphony, The University of North Texas, and The Dallas Symphony Orchestra. The choir has encouraged and included performances of young musicians from Brookhaven Community College as well as from the public and private schools of Dallas. The Chancel Choir’s major works repertoire includes Brahms’ “Ein deuthces Requiem,” Gaure’s “Requiem, Op 48” and “Requiem” by John Rutter.
In addition to providing inspiring music for worship, the talented members of the Chancel Choir presented two concerts of sacred music with the musicians of St. Paul’s Evangelical and Reformed UCC during 2006.
The Chancel Choir is a source for additional solo and ensemble groups used for Schreiber Memorial United Methodist Church’s worship services and programs throughout the year. The newly formed Men’s Gospel Quartet is the latest ministry of the choir.
Incorporated with its music ministry, the Chancel Choir has a full calendar of fellowship and social activities for its members. The Chancel Choir also participates in the mission outreach programs of Schreiber Memorial United Methodist Church.
To become a member of this wonderful program, you may attend one of our regularly scheduled rehearsals, speak with any member of the choir following a church service, or call the church office for more information. New members are welcome throughout the year. Come join us!

Both the Chancel Choir and the Handbell Choir rehearse every Wednesday evening in the Choir Room located in the North wing of the main building.
